Tide indicator

G-lide GBX-100TT Series_Measurement Functions

The tides refer to the periodic rise and fall of water in oceans, seas, bays and other bodies of water. These are primarily caused by the gravitation between the Earth, moon and sun. In general, the ebb and flood tides alternate about every six hours. A graph on the watch can show this trend on the display according to the location and date.

By entering local data, such as time, date and a high tide phase, the watch can display the low tide phases for any date and even hour by hour. This makes it possible to plan trips in advance — ensuring, for example, that a boat can enter a harbour during high tide and depart before the low tide comes around unexpectedly.
If the watch has a Smartphone Link, the display is even easier to set up: All you have to do is select the appropriate location in the app and all the necessary times and phases for this location are then displayed on the watch.
