Regarding the Impact

of the Pacific Coast of Tohoku Earthquake on the Casio Group’s Operations

Casio Europe GmbH would like to provide brief details on the impact of the Pacific Coast of Tohoku Earthquake on the Casio Group’s operations.

1. Status Regarding Injury and Damage
· Personal injury
Thankfully, there were no major injuries among the Group’s personnel working throughout the Tohoku region. The company continues to take all necessary steps to confirm the safety of its employees and their families. As for Casio Europe GmbH we hereby inform that no personnel had been on business trip to Japan neither while the earthquake happened nor at this moment.

· Property damage
(1) Manufacturing activities
The Group is currently working to ascertain the current condition of its facilities while confirming safety as well as the status of materials and infrastructure in efforts to recommence operations. Placing the utmost emphasis on safety, we plan to recommence operations as and when inspections and confirmation have been completed.

(2) Business activities
While there are at this stage no expectations of major damage to buildings and structures, business activities are expected to be affected due to interruptions to essential utilities. The Casio Group will provide every possible support to its customers and the devastated region in their recovery work efforts. At the same time, we will collect information relevant to employees, their families and our operating network while considering the implementation of appropriate measures.

2. Impact on Performance
The Group is currently evaluating the impact of the earthquake on its performance and business results. Details will be disclosed in a timely manner should we anticipate any major affect to our performance and business results.

3. Our deep condolences
Casio Computer Co., Ltd. expresses its sincere condolences to the people of the Tohoku area of Japan in the wake of a major earthquake that struck in the area March 11, 2011.
Casio will donate 10,000,000 yen to relief efforts with the hope of helping those affected by the earthquake and contributing to the rapid reconstruction of devastated areas. Additionally, a relief fund will collect donations from employees, and their contributions will be matched by the company through a matching gifts program.
Donation amounts: 10,000,000 yen and contributions by a matching gifts program
Donation recipient: “Japan Platform”, a specified non-profit organization
Everyone at Casio sincerely hopes for the rapid recovery of the areas struck by the earthquake.
