The new Gulfmaster GWN-1000
As far over the open sea as the wind will take you

Norderstedt, February 2015 – There’s no missing the relevance of G-SHOCK in extreme sports and urban lifestyle. With the new model Gulfmaster GWN-1000, the Japanese brand clearly demonstrates that these almost indestructible watches are at home in all environments. Designed with maritime requirements in mind, the Gulfmaster makes for a reliable partner – whatever kind of water you’re on.

Digital precision with unbeatable durability – that’s particularly true for the technical high-end G-SHOCK models. The latest technologies in the Japanese brand are integrated into the GWN-1000, combining the advantages of an analogue, easily readable display with wide-ranging digital competence. The faster and more powerful the waters of this earth are, the more important these qualities are in situations which require fast reactions: that’s when every second counts. All the features of the watch can be quickly and easily reached using Smart Access technology’s electronic crown.

The new GWN-1000 is not only aimed at all fans of water sport in general – it specifically targets particular maritime professionals who spend their days on the water. The reliability of a G-SHOCK for their work cannot be overestimated for their work, which relies a more on functions which can be accessed at any time than you would imagine. It starts with the barometer which provides exact values using the digital display. It doesn’t just quickly and clearly show current changes in the air pressure using the second hand; it even sounds a signal to warn when the weather is starting to change dramatically. On the open sea, changes in the weather are often recognised too late by the naked eye, making the sensors of the GWN-1000 an important aid.

Additional helpful functions in the new G-SHOCK Gulfmaster include an altimeter, a compass function in which the second hand points north and the degrees appear on the display, as well as the display of low and high tides for many preset destinations – valuable information, for example in unfamiliar moorings.

The new GWN-1000 is now available from selected stores in the colours Black-Blue (GWN-1000B-1BER), Black (GWN-1000B-1AER) and (GWN-1000C-1AER), Blue (GWN-1000-2AER) and Yellow (GWN-1000-9AER). A practical retailer search function is available at http://www.g-shock.eu/euro/watches/premium/gulfmaster/.

ABOUT G-SHOCK
G-SHOCK started with the idea and desire to create an indestructible watch. Engineers at CASIO followed the ‘triple 10’ concept which states that a watch should survive a fall from a height of 10 metres, withstand water pressure of 10 bar and should have a life span of 10 years on a single battery.

G-SHOCK has remained true to this concept and has been perfecting and continuously developing its G-SHOCK models since its launch in 1983.
