CELVIANO Digital Piano Wins DIAPASON D´OR Award
The Celviano Grand Hybrid digital piano GP-500 by CASIO and C.Bechstein convince on all levels

Norderstedt, December, 2015. "No points of criticism", an "extraordinary music instrument", is the official judgement of Diapason d´Or. The Diapason d'Or is deemed, alongside the official German Record Critics' Award and the British Gramophone Award, as one of the most important record awards for classical music in Europe. This month, the coveted prize, which is awarded by the homonymous French Classical magazine, goes to the CASIO Celviano Grand Hybrid Digitalpiano GP-500BP.

"I am enchanted" enthuses composer and pianist Xavier Bouchard, who officially tested thedigital piano for Diapason d'Or. "It creates the illusion of a real acoustic grand piano".The CELVIANO Grand Hybrid Digital Piano was developed by the Japanese electronics enterprise Casio in collaboration with the traditional piano factory C.BECHSTEIN in order to combine the best features of digital and acoustic pianos in one instrument. The Grand Hybrid Piano reproduces the sound and the feeling of a concert grand piano with real wooden keys and offers an experience otherwise only known from a real grand piano. The materials and manufacturing process of the keyboard are the same ones that are traditionally used for C.Bechstein concert grand pianos. Additionally, the GP-500BP has the "Grand Acoustic System", which provides a multi-dimensional sound experience that convinces even star pianists like Benjamin Grosvenor or Gabriela Montero.

"I am very impressed with the quality of the instrument, the authentic feel of the touch and the unique features - such as the choice between three of the world's most famous piano sounds" states Benjamin Grosvenor. Since its world premiere in Berlin in September 2015, Benjamin Grosvenor is the official brand ambassador of the Grand Hybrid CELVIANO digital piano.
