New B2B smartwatch from CASIO premieres at EuroCIS 2019
CASIO is offering its first commercial-use smartwatch wearables for professionals in retail, logistics, and industry.
For years, the Mobile Industrial Solutions department at CASIO Europe GmbH has been supplying innovative hardware such as handheld terminals, mobile computers, and terminals with integrated printers that make every-day work in numerous industries more efficient.
With CASIO's first B2B smartwatch, the WSD-F20A-BPA, CASIO has now entered the market for wearables for commercial use. At EuroCIS 2019 in Düsseldorf, Germany, CASIO will present a B2B smartwatch with hardware designed for the needs of retail, logistics, and industry. It meets these needs through a series of versatile features and applications. The smartwatch is waterproof to five bar (50 m) and complies with the American military standard MIL-STD-810, which means it is robust enough to work reliably even under adverse conditions. This makes it the ideal hardware for developing B2B system solutions.
A further USP of the CASIO B2B smartwatch compared to many consumer smartwatches is that through the integrated WLAN module it does not require a Bluetooth connection to a smartphone to connect to a network. As such, users do not have to be equipped with a smartphone to enable efficient commercial use.
To ensure that the smartwatch can last through a complete shift despite a permanent WLAN connection, it has been equipped with a powerful and long-lasting battery and is also energy-saving at the design-level. It has a dual display that automatically switches between an economical black-and-white LCD for simple displays, such as the time, and a colour TFT for displaying apps as required.
The B2B smartwatch also comes with the advantage of the operating system “Wear OS” by Google, which offers high compatibility, connectivity, and virtually no limitations for system developers.
