The new EDIFICE EF-535SP-1AVEF from Casio
Norderstedt, August 2009 - On account of its "Speed & Intelligence" brand concept, the EDIFICE collection is closely associated with motor sports. As a result, since spring 2009, Casio has formed a successful partnership with the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team while featuring its up-and-coming star driver Sebastian Vettel as brand ambassador. The new EDIFICE EF-535SP-1AVEF model exemplifies the brand concept with its impressive blend of sporty elegance and innovative functions.
From a visual perspective, the EF-535SP excels due to its stylish, striking watch face made of real carbon - a material very frequently used in motor sports. Based on the Formula 1 style, the black dial takes its cue from the design of a racing car cockpit. The matching black band has been ionised using a complex process to ensure it remains durable and scratchproof. Within the watch face, red triangles will also undoubtedly catch the eye, along with the two embedded screws, which are sure to please any motor sports fan. The EDIFICE logo is not only featured on the watch face, but has also been placed as a three-dimensional element on the right-hand middle crown. With a blend of polished and brush-finished stainless steel elements, the band gives a final refined touch to the exceptionally sporty and stylish design of this chronograph.
In the EF-535SP, the rotating inner ring highlights the sense of energy and speed, a characteristic of the entire EDIFICE collection. The ring is set in motion using the left-hand crown and allows the wearer to save elapsed times, so he won't forget his own record performances.
The model features the following functions
