Two CASIO Products Win iF Product Design Awards 2008
EXILIM® EX-Z1200 Digital Camera and DT-X7 Handheld Terminal

TOKYO, January 15, 2008 - CASIO Europe GmbH and its parent company, CASIO Computer Co., Ltd., announced today that two of its products - a digital camera and a handheld terminal - have been recognized with the iF product design award 2008, one of the world's leading industrial design honors.

The iF product design award is sponsored by International Forum Design of Hannover, Germany, and is recognized around the world as a premier industrial design competition. The entries are judged not only on their design, but also on criteria such as quality, price, and environmental consideration.

The iF product design award 2008 attracted 2,771 entries from 35 countries, and 821 entries received awards. The two CASIO products earning honors were the EXILIM EX-Z1200 digital camera and the DT-X7 handheld terminal.

EXILIM Zoom EX-Z1200
This high-performance digital camera features 12.1 megapixel resolution, one of the highest for a compact digital camera. The outstanding look of the luxurious stainless steel body marks it as the flagship model of the EXILIM line. The smooth, rounded design feels totally at home in the hand. Superior user-friendly operations are delivered via an interface that makes the most of the 2.8-inch Wide and Bright LCD display.

DT-X7
This handheld terminal with scanner is designed for applications in the retail, transportation, logistics, and other industries. Developed for a diverse range of users according to the principles of human-centered design, the DT-X7 offers superior usability with a high-grip surface and a natural fit in the hand, extra-easy scanning, superb key operability, and a highly visible screen.
