PRESS RELEASE February 21, 2007
Radio-controlled wristwatches for a larger Europe
New highlights from CASIO’s WAVE CEPTOR series
WVQ-141DE-2AVER WVQ-142E-7EVER
Hamburg, February 21, 2007 - Europe is expanding. It’s time for a radio-controlled wristwatch with a signal that can be received anywhere in Europe from Spain to Latvia, from Ireland to the new member of the EU, Rumania. The new analogue models WVQ-141DE-2AVER and WVQ-142E-7EVER from CASIO’s successful WAVE CEPTOR radio-controlled series are the perfect watches for frequent travellers.

The WVQ-141DE-2AVER, with its blue watch face and solid stainless steel band, represents the elegant line. Its classic design is underlined by the four countersunk steel screw heads on the casing. In contrast, the WVQ-142E-7EVER offers a sporty look. Its white watch face with integral neobrite display forms a powerful contrast with the black resin band. The rotating bezel lends this model the look of a diver’s watch. It is water-resistant up to a maximum of 10 bar, further underlining its sporty character.

Dynamic design, optimised radio-controlled technology

Both watches have a lavishly designed stainless steel casing, which does not impair radio reception despite the solid design. These new timepieces are thus the perfect companions for every owner who wants not only to wear the exact time on his wrist, but to look good by doing so. With these watches, CASIO turns analogue radio-controlled watches into an optical and functional “must have” accessory for younger businessmen as well.

The WVQ-141DE-2AVER and WVQ-142E-7EVER radio-controlled watches have the following functions
  • DCF/MSF-RADIO SIGNAL RECEPTION IN EUROPE
  • <LED> LIGHT
  • NEOBRITE DISPLAY
  • DAILY ALARM
  • AUTOMATIC CALENDAR
  • MINERAL GLASS
  • SOLID STAINLESS STEEL CASING
The WVQ-141DE-2AVER and WVQ-142E-7EVER will be available from March 2007.
