CASIO Scandinavia expands its sphere of action
A one-stop shop for cross-border services in Office and School Equipment Norderstedt / Stockholm, 1 January 2009. Global trade is on the increase, international business cooperation is growing, purchasers and vendors are carrying out business across country borders. As globalisation spreads, both manufacturers and customers are increasingly acting with an international focus. Japanese electronics manufacturer CASIO is also following suit. Since 1 January 2009, the Office and School Equipment product group for the Swedish market is being looked after by CASIO Scandinavia. This decision was taken in response to our customers desire for stronger international cooperation, Günter Grefen, General Division Manager for Office and School Equipment at Casio Europe GmbH, explains the decision. By taking this step, CASIO put an end to the very good collaboration in this sector by Sense Försäljning AB at the end of 2008. Up until then Sense Försäljning AB had been their distribution partner in Sweden. As an international organisation we are able to observe markets precisely, and in terms of customer service we can use synergy effects to their maximum, says Grefen. CASIOs position as leaders in the international market is not least down to our ability to pool our strengths. CASIO Scandinavia has established its position in Norway as a strong market participant in the School and Office sector for years. Since the New Year, Swedish CASIO customers have also benefited from this competitive edge when it comes to school and graphic calculators, pocket and desk calculators, printing calculators and labelling systems. For CASIO Scandinavia, providing transnational service is nothing new. With their digital imaging range, CASIO has been focusing on providing a direct one-stop service for Norway and Sweden from their headquarters based in Stockholm since July 2006.
