TOKYO, November, 2015 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd., announced today the release of the V-R7000 for Restaurant multifunctional cash register. The new product supports diverse foodservice operations including order management, food preparation instructions, check payment, and sales summaries.

Casio released the V-R7000 Android™-based desktop terminal in 2014, featuring a highly legible 15.6-inch widescreen touch-panel LCD. The V-R7000 is equipped with an intuitive cash register app, and has proven popular with a broad range of businesses including restaurants, retail outlets, and service industries.

The V-R7000 for Restaurant is based on the V-R7000, equipped with a new app offering diverse features to support restaurant-specific operations. As a multifunctional cash register, the V-R7000 for Restaurant precisely handles check payment and sales summaries, even supporting food preparation instructions for the kitchen

Supports diverse order options for fixed price menus
Supports prix fixe meals consisting of appetizer, entree, and dessert options. The new app also supports different order steps at restaurants, such as taking appetizer orders first or dessert orders later. Orders can also specify customer preferences such as toppings or how they like their meat done.

Supports enhanced food preparation efficiency and better customer satisfaction
Orders are outputted to kitchen printers to accurately communicate instructions to the kitchen. The output includes separate instructions for food to be cooked now and for food to be prepared for later service. This ensures freshly prepared dishes, which helps to increase customer satisfaction.

Supports table and separate checks as well as wine bottle sharing
Supports table and separate checks. Wine ordered by the bottle can even be shared by the table and the cost per head added to separate checks.

Diverse features to support restaurant promotion and enhanced operating efficiency
The V-R7000 for Restaurant is similar to the V-R7000 standard model, but is also equipped with customer and reservation management apps. Data is linked between the apps, making it possible to develop effective promotional offers that are tailored to the characteristics of customers and efficiently take reservations. The apps can be set to automatically perform operations by issuing email instructions from a computer or mobile phone. Sales data can also be viewed remotely while away from the restaurant.

Reliable hardware for restaurants
The fanless design with no hard disc drive reduces maintenance and power consumption. An internal battery saves data stored in memory, if there is a power outage. The 15.6-inch widescreen LCD can be used in horizontal or vertical position and boasts IP53-compliant dustproof and waterproof performance to ensure reliable usability in restaurants. Businesses can also choose the V-R7100 for Restaurant with wireless LAN compatibility.
