Casio Italia S.r.l. starts the sales and marketing of Casio timepiece portfolio in Italy


Milan, 18. January 2010 - As of April 1st 2010, Casio Italia S.r.l. will be handling the marketing and distribution of the Casio timepiece portfolio in the Italian market. By this Casio wishes to take a next step in realizing its growth ambitions and reinforcing its market position in Italy. At the same time, Casio creates a more centralized focal point for the market, which makes it easier to support watch retailers with communication and marketing activities to implement Casio's multi brand strategy at the PoS for the known brands of G-SHOCK, Baby-G, EDIFICE and PRO TREK.

Minoru Takahashi, President of Casio Italia S.r.l., is glad to announce the incorporation of the watch portfolio within the responsibility of the company thus being able to expand the service and product portfolio of Casio Italia S.r.l..
"By incorporating the marketing, sales and distribution of Casio timepieces in our Italian branch, I am convinced that together with our retail partners we are able to expand the success of Casio watches in this important market", said Takahashi.

"The incorporation of the timepiece business within Casio Italia aims at benefiting from the knowledge and synergy in the marketing and sales of the products in our portfolio. With Casio Italia we will be able to create an even stronger market position for our brands in Italy, which together with all European subsidiaries will send a homogeneous brand message to the consumers. As a result, both retailers and consumers will get a clearer image of our quality products."

Starting from today Casio Italia has launched a website exclusively for the Italian retailers. Every interested vendor can register as a Casio retailer at www.casio-rivenditore.it thus getting in contact with the Milan office in view of the future relationship starting as of April 1st 2010. The start and thus the announcement for the registration will be supported by additional activities in order to encourage a straight communication with the Italian trade from the very beginning.

As of April 1st, 2010 Casio Italia S.r.l. will be responsible for Digital Imaging, Office & School equipment, Electronic Musical Instruments, Professional Visual Products (Beamers) and Timepieces in Italy. The system product group containing Mobile Industrial Solutions (Mobile data collection) and cash registers will remain in the accountability of the European Headquarter, Casio Europe GmbH, in cooperation with the responsible Italian distributors.
