As Compact As Ever. As Tuneful As Never Before.
CASIO presents a completely new PRIVIA line-up

It is a great challenge to continually improve time-tested models. With the PRIVIA series, CASIO confronts this task, presenting the most tuneful PRIVIA generation ever, entailing the models PX-130, PX-330, PX-730 and PX-830. With considerable quality gains regarding sound, keyboard and design, the demands have once again been augmented. The highlights of the new PRIVIA generation are the newly developed Linear Morphing AiF sound source, as well as the Scaled Hammer Action keyboard with three sensors. Yet also other improvements and consistent product maintenance are worth mentioning.

With regard to sound the CASIO developers have consistently aimed for the best, implementing technical solutions that represent an absolute novelty within this category of digital pianos. The “Linear Morphing Aif sound source”, a complex AiF sound generation technology featuring 128-note polyphony, has been improved considerably with regard to dynamics. Hence the elaborate stereo samples now command four instead of three dynamic layers with transitions (Velocity Switch) dissolved beyond competition into 128 levels. The range, reaching from piano to forte, can now be played over all intermediate steps without discolorations or perceivable jumps in the sound. The result of this new Linear Morphing sampling technology for detailed and dynamic grand piano sounds is a completely new experience, bringing players yet a step closer to the perfect sound of the original instrument.

A new loudspeaker system meets the demands of this acoustic enrichment: The natural sound radiation of the acoustic model has been applied by CASIO developers in order to create an ambient sound that naturally unfolds in all three dimensions. The new loudspeaker design and the optimised installation points perfectly support the new sound generation system in displaying its full potential over the entire range. The loudspeakers no longer radiate out frontally towards the player, but also to the rear or downward, depending on the respective model.

Also the keyboard has been advanced substantially. By implementing a third sensor repeating keys are registered so precisely that even fast passages can be played in unbelievable precision. A note can be played anew without the key having to return completely to its initial position. Thanks to this new ”Tri-Sensor” concept, not a single note will be lost in future.

In order to achieve this the PRIVIA top model, new PX-830, has been equipped with an “ivory touch” keyboard surface. The mattfinished keys offer a pleasant surface designed to prevent fingers from slipping. This enhancement, too, was modelled on the optical and haptic properties of the original instrument.

With regard to the new design the challenge consisted in enhancing the tried “stylish and compact” design concept, developing it further towards a combination of traditional piano elements and modern instrument forms. The fine red felt band represents classical design elements, while the rolling curve of the casing adds stylish elements. All in all the new PRIVIA generation sports an even higher quality appearance, inspiring the eye with its elegant looks. This also applies to the stand system (PX-130, PX-330), picking up the rolling lines and supporting the stylish overall impression. Besides, it is also conveniently assembled and disassembled.

The new PRIVIA generation also has some colour innovations to offer: PX-130 is not only available in noble black (BK) but also in elegant white (WE). Of course, the matching stand system is on supply too. PX-730 comes in black (BK) and cherry (CY). And for the first time a PRIVIA model is available in the colour variety “Black Polish”, the PX-830.
