The mission of CASIO's product development is to create something where there was nothing before - what CASIO calls going from "0" to "1." By creating totally original products, CASIO adds fun and convenience to daily life and pioneers new cultural trends. Digital cameras Back in the 1990s, CASIO wanted to build a camera that could show users a photo the instant it was taken. With this goal in mind, CASIO set out to develop a digital camera with an LCD display, paving the way for the digital camera of today. CASIO has continued to develop new digital camera sub-genres, including super-slim card-sized cameras and ultra high-speed cameras.

G-SHOCK watches Since watches are always on the wrist, customers need a watch that does not break even in a fall. Based on this idea, CASIO exploded conventional wisdom with the concept for a shock-resistant watch. The G-SHOCK was born. Firmly footed in the "All-Around Tough" concept, CASIO has developed this product over time, adding new and exciting features.

Solar-powered radio-controlled watches* Always on, always accurate - when CASIO set out to design the ultimate watch it started by giving it the ability to synchronize to radio waves with time data. CASIO fitted the watch with solar cells which means it will never run out of power anywhere there is a light source. *A radio-controlled watch operates only in the area where it can recieve a time calibration signal.

Tough cellular phones People always keep their cellular phones close at hand. With the goal of providing consumers with a cellular phone that can be used wherever people need to go, CASIO created the waterproof and shock-resistant G'zOne. This phone can be used in the bathroom or beach without worrying about water damage.

Electronic dictionaries Look up words on demand. CASIO's electronic dictionaries allow anyone to carry language, lifestyle, and specialized dictionaries and other useful tools right in your own pocket. Leveraging the freedom provided by digital technology, CASIO's line-up provides customers with convenient features found only on electronic dictionaries such as search, pronunciation and handwriting recognition.

Electronic musical instruments CASIO helps more people discover the love of music by providing instruments that can be mastered without years of rigorous practice. This is the philosophy behind CASIO's musical instrument development efforts. CASIO's instruments spread the joy of music with features like a key lighting system that shows first-time users how to play songs, automated accompaniment, and more.

Using digital technology to do the "impossible" CASIO combined its high-speed digital image processing technologies to create a digital camera that achieves what no conventional film camera ever could. This new digital camera offers ultra-high speed burst shooting at 60 fps and high-speed movies at 1200 fps. Yet again, CASIO has brought digital imaging into the next generation, this time with a technology so advanced that it can capture movement indiscernible by the human eye.

By developing technologies including high-sensitivity micro antennas, radio wave receptor modules and digitally controlled circuitry, CASIO created a radio-controlled wristwatch that synchronizes to standard time data received via radio waves. CASIO also developed the world's first watch with a module that is able to receive radio waves from six transmitters located all around the world.

	Small, thin and light CASIO developed embedded wafer level package (EWLP) technology, which makes it possible to put an LSI package as small as a semi-conductor chip on the system board. EWLP technology also makes the board ultra-thin and reduces energy consumption.
	By integrating the lens and CCD, modulizing the LSI chip, and other such innovations, CASIO created an ultra-thin 11.3 mm card-sized camera (EX-S2, released in 2002). CASIO's wearable card camera, which can easily be carried in a pocket, created whole new ways to use cameras and created a new market for stylish, compact cameras.

	Go smart, go low-power The energy efficient design of the PROTREK outdoor watch enables CASIO to offer customers a solar-powered radio-controlled watch that can also measure air pressure, altitude and temperature. The PROTEK can be used outside for long periods of time without concern for battery life.
	CASIO's Blanview LCD reduces backlight energy consumption through improvements in the light transmission factor and also boasts a pure whiter screen. Its high visibility in outdoor light makes it ideal for mobile devices.

	Use it with confidence, anywhere CASIO's shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch is synonymous with toughness. The watch is packed with CASIO innovations and technologies such as a timekeeping module suspended inside the watch structure to prevent it from suffering direct shock and internal components protected with urethane.
	CASIO's G'zOne tough cellular phone adopts a structure which prevents exposure to water from the hinge to body, as well as lock functions, a protector and more. Thanks to these innovations, even the flip-style and one-seg models equipped with a camera are resistant to both water and shock.
