CASIO EXILIM Pro EX-F1 wins DIWA Innovation Award
High-speed digital camera impresses with its innovative technology

Norderstedt, June 2008 - With the EXILIM Pro EX-F1, CASIO not only breaks speed records, but also sweeps the board when it comes to awards: The camera has now been honoured with the coveted DIWA Innovation Award from the Digital Imaging Websites Association (DIWA). The DIWA thus recognises CASIO's outstanding achievement in bringing onto the market for the first time a high-speed camera which is not only targeted at professional photographers.

The newly developed technology of the EX-F1 allows up to 60 photos a second (fps) for still images at full resolution. Thanks to an innovative high-speed CMOS sensor and high-speed LSI processor, this high-speed camera is able to record full high definition (full HD) videos as well as shoot high-speed movies for slow motion playback at up to 1,200 fps. Until now, such frame speeds were mainly used in professional photography and scientific research. With the launch of the EX-F1, CASIO can now also offer professional technology to amateur photographers.

The DIWA is an international network of independent digital imaging websites, amongst them the German online magazine digitalkamera.de. DIWA members are experts in digital photography, who test and evaluate different features in a camera model according to over 200 criteria. The internationally recognised DIWA Award is given in the camera, design and innovation categories for digital cameras, photo printers, scanners, software and accessories.
